Project Information

BACKGROUND

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) in Australia is a government agency responsible for coordinating emergency services, including fire response, rescue operations, and disaster management, to ensure public safety and resilience.

CHALLENGE

AWB were installing new transportable buildings that upgraded their wash facilities for the firefighters at five exisiting fire stations around the Perth metropolitan area. The new buildings were being placed on concrete donuts and required a tie down to meet the engineering standards.

SOLUTION

Asset Engineers had specified that four anchors be installed per transportable building. The Earth Anchor Systems team were contacted by AWB to supply and install these anchors to the five different sites. The install team tackled the five sites in two days and installed, proof tested and connected all the anchors. Quick turn around time was needed as the jobs were being handed over in the following weeks, the install team discussed locations to avoid exisiting underground services with AWB supervisors.
